If you’re like us you absolutely refuse to pay over a hundred dollars for limited cellular service. That or you’ve got to cut cost where you can because it’s time to rework the budget. Either way we’ve found a quick and easy way to get an iPhone with unlimited text, talk and internet for a decent price. And if you’ve already got an iPhone (lucky bastards), this will help cut your cost and you can piss on those limited data contracts.
First things first. If you have an old iPhone or are on a current cellular plan you don’t have to buy a new one, or unlock your current one unless you’re on a carrier other than ATT&T. If you are ask your carrier to unlock it, most will do it for free. Afterwards you can do the next steps.
If you don’t have an iPhone yet either go online and go shopping or go into your local GameStop (3Gs cost 139.99 plus tax) and search there. Make sure you buy an 3Gs or higher. If you do not get an 3Gs or higher you will not be able to get iOS 5 on your phone.
Again, if you buy a phone with ATT&T as the original carrier you will not have to unlock your phone. Ask before you buy. If the seller isn’t sure, don’t buy the phone.

Once you have your phone you can go to Wal-Mart and get a BYOB (Bring Your Own Phone) package for around 59.99 (plus tax). The package includes a sim card and the first 30days of service. Or you can go to the Straight Talk Website and order just he sim card for 14.99, but you will have to register with them and pay the first months service (easier and faster to go get the damned thing from the store).
Now that you have your phone and your sim card get ready to install and get the ball rolling. Depending on what model phone you have there should be a small hole either on the side of the phone or the top (3G). Use a small paperclip and push it in gently. The sim carrier will pop out. Place your sim card in the carrier and place it all back in the phone.
From here you will need an internet connection on a different device.
From Here On Follow the directions given to you in your Straight Talk package. Once you are done it will only take a few minutes and then you will have Unlimited Text, Talk and Web.
If you’ve done everything right, at the top of your phone it will say Home 3G. This is normal.
Once you’ve got the phone set up you’ll need to visit http://unlock.co.nz and set up APN settings. Scroll down to Straight Talk and hit enter. Now you’ll have unlimited web ready to go.
